We take care of your projects from the idea to the shape
On the basis of the customer’s CAD data we start engineering and designing the tool. This can be made internally or externally thanks to the support of five external design offices. The engineering phase includes the feasibility study, any necessary optimization to the part geometry, the general assembly drawing, the completion of the 3D tool design and finally the definition of a timing plan which will be sent to the customer every 15 days showing the production progress. On request, DYNAMICA also offers part feasibility analysis through mold-flow simulations in order to verify filling, packing, warpage and conditioning. During this stage we aim to guarantee all technical and functional product requirements. For the tool 3D design we use the following softwares CATIA V5, PRO-ENGINEER and CIMATRON. For our CAM programs we use WORK NC, MASTER CAM, LEMOINE and LEVIA X CAM (management system).
In this stage the tool design is taking shape, or better, the steel starts to be shaped.
Starting from the 3D tool design, our CAM department generates the milling paths, by proper interface with the machines, for processing the required manufacturing on each tool part, which will be then assembled on the bench department.
All our machines are NC controlled for milling, drilling, finishing and erosion (wire or sink erosion).
All interconnected machines with the company central ERP system to secure lean production, precise planning and faster workings to enable machines to work 24/7 fully automatic and without stop.
Following to the production of all necessary components, the tool is assembled through the final bench work activities. One of our core competences at DYNAMICA is namely the tool bed-out and assembly for which we have five different working areas with specialized workers.
Thus having the chance to assemble more tools at the same time and introducing modifications on different tools, even if not directly manufactured by our toolshop.
This is a crucial step of the process, the tool is tested and put into operation to check its mechanical functions along with the plastic part aesthetical and dimensional compliance.
For tool trials on moulding machines between 50 and 2800 tons DYNAMICA can rely on the partnership with external companies providing us with the proper staff and equipments.
During every trial a DYNAMICA technician checks the correct tool functionality, paying special attention to the cycle time, to the process parameters and to the agreed component requirements with the aim to optimize these items until the tool is sent to the final test.
